Stresscrete Wall Panels are primarily designed to be used as an exterior wall cladding for commercial and industrial buildings where long term maintenance and speed of construction is important. The Stresscrete Wall panel system consists of precast concrete panels manufactured in our factory. These have a finish which is dense and water resistant. A finish compatible with paints suitable for concrete surfaces can be provided if requested at time of order. Other surface textures, such as an exposed aggregate finish can be manufactured.

Transport

Wall Panels are typically transported to the building site on their edge on “A” frames, or may be transported flat if the design allows. A maximum panel height of 3.9m including starter bars (if any) and maximum truck carrying capacity of 22 tonnes should be considered to avoid the need to have to use special vehicles and routes and obtain transport permits. The Stresscrete team can provide advice on the optimum panel sizes for efficient transportation and crane use.

Erection

Wall Panels should be lifted from the truck, rotated if necessary, and placed in position on the structure by the lifting points provided.

Propping and depropping

While the panel is still attached to the crane, the panel should be temporarily propped in its final position, depropping should take place on the specifying engineer’s instruction.

Fixing

The Stresscrete Wall Panel system is able to be used with most proprietary fixing hardware.
